picture day
the kids took pictures at school today. i heard they may not have been so great because the big brother was not cooperating. so i wanted to get them in their matching outfits before the night was over. hopefully we can get at least one good sibling picture from school, because clearly i had a rough time too :)

2 month stats
the pediatrician the kids go to never weights them in pounds. its always in kg, which is super annoying because i can never remember the conversions. so here it is~~
ava-5.3 kg= 11lbs and 10.5oz
zander 6.0kg= 13lbs 3.6oz
they both were the exact same length which is 27 inches.
they both had 3 shots and did a great job! if they could eat lollipops i would have given them one!! LOVE LOVE these kids :)

baby dedication...
we had a small dedication at church sunday stating that we would raise our kids with the knowledge of the lord. the church also commited that they would assist us in any way possible to help us raise them along the way.
train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. proverbs 22:6

2 months...
oh how time flies! you guys have been nothing but a joyous addition to the family. everyone asks how we do it all. sometimes i dont even know, but we get it done. now caleb is aware that you guys are here to stay. if he only sees one of you, he goes looking for the missing baby. he kisses you both every night before he goes to bed, and is now saying 'sisa' and 'baba'.
ava~you have proved mama wrong. in my tummy you were a very busy body. i thought surely you would be that way when you came, but i was wrong. you are very content still and can chill in your own crib with no bink. your hair is growing and i love to see you with a bow. you really only fuss if you are hungry or have gas. i bought lots of pretty dresses for you and cant wait for you to wear them!
zander~ you are my big rolly polly! i love to squeeze your legs and arms, they are sooooo juicy! during bath time i have to make sure i wash every roll. there has been lent under your neck, between the creases on your arm, and even behind your knees. you love to be held and dont like when we put you down. you could be crying and as soon as someone picks you up you are just fine. you have given a few smiles and love car rides.
happy 2 months to my beautiful babies!!

twins first day at school
i cant believe they are 6 weeks old already! they are in the same classroom at dhcdc as caleb was when he was a baby. when i dropped them off for a half of day i was not worried or concerned. with del being there and all the teachers who are excited about their arrival, i knew there was going to be no issues. at home they like to sleep propped up and at school they have to sleeping on their backs in the crib. but what do you know?!?! of course they did an awesome job and the teachers had no problem with them. so for the first time ava slept in her own bed last night and loved it! we are so proud of her! zander is in love with his bink so every time it popped out he had a fit. so he stayed in the bassinet in our room so we didnt have to keep getting up just to give him his bink. maybe he'll try tonight to sleep in his own crib. i just love these kids to pieces!!! Here they are in their new class :)

home improvements
i started the week off by finishing up caleb's room. ive had blue tape up on his wall for awhile, since i couldnt paint when i was pregnant. today i finally had the urge to get caleb's room in order. the only new addition is the bookshelf i bought from ikea. the 3 storage bins we were using to store all of his toys was getting too over crowded. so i painted and rearranged his room. when he got home he was so excited and the first thing he did was pull books off the shelf.
we are trying to only allow him to watch tv and play with the ipod touch only on the weekends because by the time we get home there is little family time and those things just distract him. so after dinner he ran into his room and wanted to watch thomas. i told him we have to take a bath first and then he could watch. i guess i just thought that he would forget about watching his show, because i couldnt believe how he pulled the wool over my eyes!
we went to brush teeth, use the potty, and as soon i put him in the bath he started screaming and crying like the water was hot. i adjusted the water and he still would not sit in the tub. i just thought maybe he had a scratch and the water was just irritating it so i washed him standing up and the bath lasted all of 4 mins. when i lifted him on the changing table to dry him off he started laughing and said 'choo choo?!?!' i had totally forgot that i told him he could watch his show.
he rushed bath time just to squeeze in a few mins of thomas the train! boy is he smart!!

play ball...
last thursday (im super behind) i felt like a stalker waiting in the car for caleb to come to the blacktop to show off his coordination skills. he recently start to take play ball class which teaches the kids different activities to help with their coordination. i was so proud watching caleb follow directions very well and do all the activities. they do not enroll kids in the class until they are 2 but the instructor said he's definitely ready to start! i could stop laughing cause he was just too cute. he tossed tennis balls, balanced a bean bag on his head and foot, used a hoola hoop to pretend to drive a car while playing red light green light, walked on a balance beam, jumped in and out of hoola hoops, and played sticky fingers (the coach called out a color and they all ran to put their hands on that color). del even called me, as he watched caleb from his classroom window, and said 'can u believe thats our son!' i cant believe how big he has gotten and i couldnt be more prouder!!
